A Framework for Collaboration |

West of England Consortium has used some of its funding from Capacitybuilders to provide a new resource package looking specifically at collaboration. This complements the resource Managing in Tough Times which was completed in March 2009. There are many reasons why voluntary, community and social enterprise groups are thinking about working collaboratively. The change to the commissioning environment is one such reason, where services are being procured on the basis of broader outcomes, and smaller organisations need to come together to bid for contracts. A booklet A Framework for Collaboration was produced in partnership with Social Enterprise Works and takes VCSE sector organisations through: the process of thinking about collaboration and the drivers; looking at collaboration models and their impact; mapping potential partners; moving the partnership forward in terms of compatibility and culture and agreeing a memorandum of understanding.
