West of England Consortium is responsible for three of the four unitary authority areas that make up the West of England Partnership ie. Bath and North East Somerset, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire. Bristol Consortium, as the name suggests, is responsible for the fourth. The West of England Partnership is essentially the sub-regional strategic partnership, equivalent to local strategic partnerships but operates at a higher level. It is made up of councillors from each local authority, a range of social, economic and environmental partners and is also attended by the Chief Executives for each local authority. There are four priority work areas:
West of England Consortium represents both sub-regional consortia on the partnership.
