By working together the Consortium’s vision is for communities in the West of England to benefit from a strong, vibrant, diverse, and sustainable VCSE sector.

West of England Consortium (WoE) aims to provide an accountable, representative, and well resourced support framework with genuine influence on local, regional, and national policies which impact on our communities.

Aims

• To have an effective and visible WoE Consortium, sufficiently skilled and resourced to confidently deliver the aims of this strategy and associated business plan.
• To become central to the VCSE sector in Bath and North East Somerset, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire to ensure effective coordination of infrastructure support services, democratic representation and promotion of the sector.
• To ensure that VCSE organisations in Bath and North East Somerset, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire have straightforward access to infrastructure support services by 2014.
• To ensure that access to mainstream infrastructure support is available to BME, equalities and other specialists groups and assist in the development of essential specialist support services.
